Only approved trainers with a current permit from the Parramatta Park Trust can hold training sessions and group fitness classes in the park.
The following types of training (or a combination of these such activities) are permitted, subject to approval:
A maximum of 18 participants can be approved for each group. Parramatta Park Trust determines the numbers based on details in your application for a permit.
Training can only occur in your designated zone at the approved times and on the approved days set out in your application. See the Personal Training & Fitness Group Areas Map to see these zones.
To apply for a training permit, download, complete and submit an Application Form by email to the Trust, attaching copies of your senior first aid certificate, Fitness Australia registration and proof of insurance.
Applications are processed within 10 working days and you will be advised via email of tentative approval for your activity and issued with a quote confirming the cost.
Once full payment has been received your application will be finalised and you will be issued with your training permit, confirmation letter and tax invoice.
You can opt for a 26 week or 52 week permit.
The fees are listed below.
To renew your permit, you need to reapply by submitting a new application form and copies of all relevant qualifications and insurance certificates at least 4 weeks prior to the expiry date of your current training permit.
Only approved trainers with a current permit can train within Parramatta Park. If you don’t have a permit, or your permit has expired, you are not permitted to conduct training activities and you may receive an infringement notice (fine).
